You (didn't) ask, we answer!
Q: Why don't you just buy wood like everyone else?
A: We don't want to be like everyone else. Rescued wood shares a story. We like that a lot.
Q; Is your process as time consuming as it seems?
A: Yes. It's a long, messy process. But when you give that bowl to your mom that was made from the tree her grandfather planted 100 years ago, we think you'll agree that the process is totally worth the time and cost.
Q: Why can't you quote me a price online?
A: Matt has to see your piece of wood in order to evaluate it. Not all wood will be able to be turned into a bowl or platter-but maybe it can become an ornament or . . . something? We want to be fair and honest, and in order to do that we have to see what we're (potentially) working with.
Q: Why don't you post a phone number so I can call you?
A: We work odd hours and don't always have the ability to answer calls. Please email or fill out the contact form. Trust me on this one - phones are not our best means of initial communication, Once we're working together you'll be given a contact number.
Q: What's your favorite dog breed?
A: Rescued.
Q: Can I visit your shop?
A: Unfortunately not. For safety and insurance purposes, folks are not allowed on site. We can send you cool pictures of the process, though! Just ask for picture updates once we're working on rescuing your stories.
